privacy policy

last updated: june 26, 2026

This English text is provided for convenience. The Spanish version prevails in case of discrepancy.

euno is a journal. what you write is yours, and we want it to stay yours. our principle is simple: your journal, not our archive. this policy explains what information we collect, what we use it for, and what control you have over it.

1. our commitment

we collect the minimum needed for euno to work. we do not sell your data, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not use the content of your entries to train artificial intelligence models. audio is deleted by default once it has been transcribed.

2. what information we collect

your account information

your email address and the profile data you choose to provide: a display name or nickname, country, language, and preferences (for example, reminders or voice style).

your content

the text of your entries (the transcription of what you write or dictate), your mood tags, and the reflections, summaries, and patterns euno generates from your entries.

audio

if you dictate an entry, audio is processed in order to transcribe it. by default, that audio is deleted as soon as it is transcribed and only the text remains (see section 4).

usage and device

basic technical data so the app works, so we can understand how it is used, and so we can detect errors: device type, operating system, technical identifiers, usage events (which screens and features are used), and crash reports. this data does not include the content of your entries.

biometric authentication

if you enable the app lock with Face ID or Touch ID, verification happens on your device: your biometric data never leaves your phone and never reaches euno. we only record whether the unlock succeeded or not.

payments

if you subscribe, the purchase is processed by Apple, Google, and our subscription provider (RevenueCat). euno never receives or stores your card details.

cost metrics

we log operational data about AI model usage (for example, audio duration or token counts) in order to monitor costs. these logs do not include the content of your entries.

3. how we use your information

  • to provide the service: transcribe your voice, generate reflections, and show you your history;
  • to maintain, secure, and improve how the app works;
  • to detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and technical problems;
  • to manage your subscription;
  • to contact you about your account or important changes to the service.

4. audio is deleted by default

when you dictate, the audio is used solely to transcribe it. by default, once the transcription is obtained, the audio is deleted and is not stored: only the text and the duration persist.

you can turn on the option to keep the audio (per entry, or as a preference). if you do, the audio is stored privately and is accessible only to you, until you delete it or delete the entry. this option is off by default.

5. crisis detection

to look after you, euno analyzes the content of your entries in order to detect signs of crisis (for example, suicidal ideation or self-harm) and, if it detects them, to show you support resources and helplines for your country. this analysis is part of processing your entry and exists for your safety. it is not an emergency service and it may not detect every situation. euno is not therapy and does not replace a professional.

6. providers that help us operate

we work with providers that process data on our behalf, only for the purposes described here and under confidentiality and security obligations:

  • OpenAI — generating reflections from the text of your entry. Voice transcription happens on your device, so OpenAI never receives your audio; it only receives the text, one time, in order to produce the reflection.
  • Supabase — database, authentication, and storage. It hosts your account, your entries, and, if you enabled it, your audio.
  • RevenueCat — subscription management, together with the Apple App Store and Google Play for billing.
  • PostHog — app usage analytics (which screens and features are used), so we can understand and improve the product. It does not receive the content of your entries: only usage events and technical or segmentation data.
  • Sentry — monitoring app errors and crashes, so we can detect and fix them. It does not receive the content of your entries or sensitive data; reports are scrubbed before they are sent.

the list of providers may change; we will keep this section up to date.

7. who we do not share your data with

we do not sell your information or the content of your entries. we do not share them with third parties for advertising purposes, and we do not hand them to anyone else, except:

  • with your consent;
  • with the providers listed above, in order to provide the service;
  • when a competent authority requires it by law.

8. security

we protect your information with encryption in transit and at rest, per-user access controls (so each person can only reach their own data), and server-side handling of keys and secrets, never in the app. no system is 100% infallible, but we work to reduce risks and to respond to incidents.

9. how long we keep your data

we keep your information for as long as your account is active. if you delete your account, we erase your personal data and your content within a reasonable period (no later than 48 hours), except for what we are legally required to retain. audio, when you did not opt to keep it, was already deleted after transcription.

10. your rights over your data

you have control over your information. under applicable law — such as Law 25.326 on the Protection of Personal Data (Argentina), the LFPDPPP (Mexico), and similar regulations in the region — you may:

  • access your data and export it (including your entries in a readable format);
  • correct inaccurate data from your profile;
  • delete your account and all of your content;
  • withdraw your consent or object to certain processing.

you can exercise these rights from the app or by writing to hola@euno-app.com.

11. minors

euno is intended for people over 18. we do not knowingly collect data from minors. if you believe a minor has provided us with data, write to us and we will delete it.

12. international transfers

in order to provide the service, some of your information may be processed or stored on servers located outside your country (for example, in the United States, where some of our providers operate). we take reasonable measures so that those transfers carry an adequate level of protection.

13. changes to this policy

we may update this policy from time to time. if we make material changes, we will let you know inside the app or by another reasonable means, and we will note the date of the last update above.

14. contact

for privacy questions, or to exercise your rights, write to hola@euno-app.com. the party responsible for euno and for your information is the euno team, which you can reach at that address.
